Clipable is a clipboard manager for Mac, iPad and iPhone. A clipboard holds some of the most sensitive things you handle all day, so the short version matters: your clips never reach us. They live on your device and in your own iCloud account — nowhere else.
On the Mac, Clipable records what you copy — text, links, images, files — together with the app you copied it from and the time. On iPhone and iPad, nothing is recorded automatically: iOS does not allow any app to read the clipboard in the background, and we do not work around that. There, content is added only when you tap the Paste button yourself.
Clipable does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with the developer or anyone else. There are no developer-run servers, no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
Your clips and folders are stored locally on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, they are also synced through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to your other devices. This happens in your private iCloud database; the developer has no access to it. iCloud storage and transmission are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can turn iCloud off for Clipable at any time in System Settings (Mac) or Settings (iPhone, iPad).
Content above the sync size limit stays on the device that recorded it. Your other devices then show a preview and a note about where the original is.
Password managers mark copied passwords as confidential, following the convention of nspasteboard.org. Clipable reads that mark and discards such content before it is written to disk — it is never stored, on any device. You can additionally exclude entire apps from being recorded in Settings → Privacy.
Clips that look like a secret (API keys, card numbers and similar) are masked in lists, so a glance over your shoulder shows nothing. This is a display heuristic, not a security guarantee.
Clips in the inbox are removed automatically after the retention period you choose; filed and favorited clips are never deleted automatically. Deleted clips wait in the trash until you empty it or the period runs out. Everything you delete is gone from your devices and from your iCloud database.
Clipable is free to try for seven days and then requires a one-time purchase. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple; the developer receives no payment details. Whether you bought the app is stored by Apple and, for the trial start date, in your own iCloud key-value storage.
Apart from Apple's frameworks used for syncing and purchases, Clipable contains no third-party SDKs.
Clipable is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
