privid — Privacy Policy

privid is built so that your videos never leave your device.

Data collection

privid does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no servers, no accounts, and no analytics.

On-device storage

• Videos you record are stored only in privid's private, encrypted app storage on your device (iOS Data Protection, complete).
• Recordings are excluded from iCloud and iTunes/Finder backups.
• Recordings are never added to your Photos library and are not visible in the Files app.
• Your PIN is stored on-device in the iOS Keychain as a salted hash. It never leaves the device.

Camera and microphone

privid uses the camera and microphone solely to record videos when you ask it to. The captured audio and video are written directly to on-device storage and are never uploaded anywhere.

Third parties

privid contains no third-party SDKs, no advertising, and no tracking.
